In this page, we are going address the biggest questions that we have been asked.

General Event Details

  1. When and Where Is The Event?

    The 2017 TEDxUTA Event will take place at The University of Texas At Arlington in the Rosebud Theatre from 1 PM to 5 PM on Friday, April 4, 2017. 

  2. What Does "The 2017 TEDxUTA Event" Include?

    The 2017 TEDxUTA Event is composed of three main components: An Interactive Session, the talks, and an after party.

    Tickets include a TEDxUTA shirt and access to this year's afterparty. In the spirit of TED, the audience will be able to share ideas with each other and the available speakers during all of the breaks in the reception, the speech sessions and the after party. 

  3. What Does The After Party Entail??

    This year's after party will include horderves, music and a cash bar to celebrate the event. Please join us and some of our speakers, we hope to see you there!

  4. Ticket Information?

    Tickets are now on sale!

    Obtain your ticket by following the link provided in the home page. You can also visit www.UTATickets.com and purchase your ticket from there. All tickets include a t-shirt and access to this year's after party.

    Ticket prices are: 

    General Audience = $35

    UTA Faculty and Staff = $25

    UTA Students = $15

    Tickets are selling fast - get them while you can! 

  5. Will TEDxUTA Be Streamed Live Online For Free?

    Yes! 

    TEDxUTA will be livestreamed online for free at:

    Gather some friends and organize a TEDxUTA watching group!

    Spread the word! (Especially after tickets sell out).

Specific Logistical Questions

  1. Parking: What Do I Need To Know?

    TEDxUTA event parking will be available free of charge at the College Park Center parking lot (across the street from the Bluebonnet Ballroom). 

    If you are a UTA student, staff or faculty, UTA regulations regarding your parking permit still apply - with the added benefit of being able to park in the CPC event parking spots. 

    If you are not a UTA student, staff or faculty, you may only park at the "Blue Colored" CPC event parking spots - you do not need a voucher, parking permit, etc. from anyone to park there during our event day.

  2. Does The Venue Have Disability Access?

    Yes, all of UTA's facilities are constructed to have disability access.

  3. Do The Food Choices Include a Vegetarian option?

    Yes.

    We are currently working with out caterering company to address this request with a yummy variety of food that should appeal to everyone. Exact details about the food will be given in the incoming weeks. Stay tunned. 

  4. Will I Be Photographed Or Filmed?

    Maybe. 

    Like all other TEDx events, our event as a whole will be photographed and filmed so that the resulting media is made available online through specific venues.

  5. My Company Wants to Help Sponsor The Event - Who Do I Talk To?

  6. What Do I Need To Watch The TEDxUTA Livestream?

    You need a functional computer, decent internet connection, and excitement! 

    Click the link and enjoy the show :) 

    Overall, Livestream is a pretty well stablished online streaming provider. They have extensive online support and their streaming format is supported by almost all operational systems - Including Windows, Mac and popular Linux versions. 

  7. Can I Personally Record/Photograph The Event?

    Unfortunately, no.

    Due to TED regulations, we are unable to allow the audience members to personaly film or photograph the event. 

    We have hired professional photographers and camera men - So don't worry, you will get awesome footage after the event is done! 

    After the event, come back to this page for more information about where to obtain the event footage.
